A love of travel and language led her to a Bachelors degree in French and Spanish. An interest in web design turned into a Masters Degree in Computer Technology. Despite her college degrees however, April has the opinion that life experience is what makes people interesting. She admires anyone who is creative enough to make a living without an actual “job”, and while she hasn’t figured it out quite yet, she is impressed by those with a smart, risk-taking, entrepreneurial mindset.

No one ever told April that she should focus on doing one thing. April’s professional background encompasses a wide range of vocations including; cocktail waitress, real estate agent, actress, collections agent, fitness instructor, college admissions representative, dot-com marketing manager, web designer, ESL teacher, activity director, writer, Blackjack dealer and most recently, professional blogger.

Today, April works as a web content specialist -combining her love of writing and online media. She has written content for a variety of web sites in industries ranging from insurance, travel, translation services, higher education to listing services.

When she is not writing, April enjoys ballroom dancing and secretly trains to compete in the lowest possible Latin dance division just to say she did it. She keeps talking about learning to master the blues harmonica but never gets around to practicing it enough to not embarrass herself.
