Melissa Hash graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Art History and a pile of debt. To pay off the debt that she and her husband had accumulated, Melissa began learning how to live a frugal life. Frugal living has helped her pay down much of her debt, purchase land and a home, and fulfill her ultimate dream of working from home.

Currently Melissa wears many hats from freelance photographer and writer to webmaster.

Writing has always been a hobby of Melissa’s and she is proud that she now writes for a living. Melissa writes for various sites on the web to share her knowledge of photography and frugal living. Her writing skills helped her reach her goal of attaining a college degree.

Photography is a passion of Melissa’s that she shares with the world on the website she co-owns with her mother, http://www.naturesthumbprint.com. Melissa has been a nature photographer for several years but has branched out into family and senior portrait photography in the last year. She is certified in Digital Photography and Adobe Photoshop.

Melissa is also a webmaster for http://www.mccallsfloormart.com, an online area rug site that she has built with her mother to help sell area rugs online. She became certified in Basic Web Design and SEO Optimization while helping create this site.
