Every spring my Mother would clean the house from top to bottom. I was always extremely happy when she would get to my room because she would really clean it; throw away old stuff, clean out all the stuff from under my bed and organize my room beautifully. It would smell fresh and clean and almost look like a new room. No matter how hard I tried, I could never clean my room like my Mother when she was in spring cleaning mode.
Now that spring has sprung….it is time to put the old spring cleaning principle to work on our hair and make-up products and accessories. Make-up has a shelf life and spring is a great time to re-organize and clean out our stashes.
Wash* your make-up brushes with a conditioning shampoo. (This should be done 2 times per month at least.)
Wet each brush and then swirl with a little shampoo and lather the bristles in the palm of your hand. Rinse the bristles until the water runs clean and squeeze out the excess. Lay the brush on a towel to dry.
Wash your hair brushes and combs. A cleansing shampoo works fine. (Should be done at least bi-weekly)
With clean brushes and make-up bags we have a good head start for a fabulous Spring. Cheers!
