For Caroline Clutterbuck it’s true what they say. A well-placed word can make all the difference – a concept that she is passionate about and the reason behind her starting her own business nine years ago and, more recently, joining the Women’s Online Magazine™ United Kingdom team as the Copywriter, proofreader and copy-editor.
A self-confessed word nerd, Caroline is committed to producing compelling, relevant copy whatever the subject matter and whatever the media, be it brochure, newsletter, website or magazine article. Her experience is diverse – from IT and financial through to health, beauty and alternative medicine, and even commercial property and construction – and she likes it that way. Starting out in PR as an Account Executive straight from university, she then moved into a marketing position with an international management consultancy, before undertaking a series of roles within a variety of marketing agencies in the South West. Preferring the variety of agency life and the challenges it offers, Caroline has worked with a number of well-known brands and blue chip companies over the years, including the NHS, Honda, B&Q and Sony.
In 2000, she started the millennium by going into business for herself as a freelance copywriter, proofreader and copy-editor, concentrating on what she loves best: writing and making sure she portrays her clients’ marketing communications in as creative, succinct and accurate a way as possible. A novice silversmith and a lover of all things Italian, Caroline is never happier than when she is relaxing with a glass of fine red wine, great food and enjoying the company of good friends under a beautiful Tuscan sunset.
