I am a Shamanic Healer, of the Inca Lineage, which I appreciate probably doesn’t mean a whole lot to you. Just to put you in the picture, Shamanic Healing is the oldest form of healing in the world, it is around 40,000 years old, and it focuses on assisting people to heal at a very deep soul level. It relieves people of their “emotional baggage,” liberating them from their past and assisting them to move forward to find, not only their healed state, but also their fulfilled state. Fundamentally shamanism is about a direct relationship with the Divine and a respect for all, nature, humans, animals and plants.
Shamanism therefore is the foundation of all healing modalities and medicines. It is not, as some believe, a religion, yet it is older than all religions. The shaman of old was often chosen to follow the shamanic path by being struck by lightening; - if he survived then this was a sign that he had been chosen by spirit and nature to act on behalf of his community as a shaman, a healer, a physician, a seer, a tracker, and a go-between of our world and the world of spirit.
Happily, although I was chosen to do this work following a visit to Macchu Picchu, I was not struck by lightening! Phew!! (You can read all about my experience and learn more about shamanism on my website - www.liberate-online.co.uk).
I work from my home in Hertfordshire in the UK and also remotely worldwide via the telephone. (As all Shamanic Healing takes place in another dimension, the healing is as effective face to face as it is over the phone, which is excellent for clients that live far away!)
My clients vary in age from 7 months old to 90 years old and are from all races, religions and backgrounds. Some are used to healing methodologies and are on a spiritual path but many - the majority perhaps - are new to any form of healing or therapy.
Regardless of whether my clients are on a spiritual path or not, many are conscious of the changes upon the planet and life as we know it - the incredible speeding up of time, the growing levels of unhappiness and discontent, the acceleration in frequency of natural, and personal, disasters –and of course we are all being affected by the credit crunch! Many clients report feel heavy, sluggish and confused, they feel they have had enough, and believe that while everything looks pretty much the same, nothing IS actually the same, or even feels the same as it used to. Aided by the current financial and economic climate, many clients are coming face to face with their deepest fears, and have experienced what is commonly known as “a dark night of the soul.” Some clients have heard snippets about the importance of the year 2012, and yet many remain in the dark about it and are surprised to hear about it.
There is actually a wealth of information on the Internet about the importance of the year 2012 – unfortunately none of it is particularly pleasant to read. If you are new to this concept, I will start with the basics - the 21st of December 2012 has been calculated as the completion date of the Mayan Long Count Calendar, a time when the Mayan Civilisation believed their world - our world, would end. Clearly this is causing a great deal of consternation! I am constantly asked “What is going to happen?” and that is in fact a very hard question to answer, if not an impossible question to answer.
Predictions ( and it is to be remembered there can only be predictions as no-one knows for sure what will happen) vary as to the severity of the changes, at the upper end of the scale, some predict that a huge percentage of people - varying between 75% and 90% of the global population - will be wiped out in some way, either by war, nuclear attack, asteroid collision, shifting tectonic plates, earthquakes/tsunamis, rapid melting of the ice caps, food shortages due to crop disease, virus outbreaks/ plague, the shifting of the axis of the earth, dramatic increases in the vibration of the planet, alien attack, or a combination of all of the above! Depressing, isn’t it?
At the lesser end of the scale, people talk of a time when there will be a massive shift in consciousness, a complete change in the way we live. The view is that the Earth herself is evolving, is raising her vibration, and in order for us, for our bodies to manage this shift in frequency then we have to raise our consciousness too, in order to survive.
A general view is that society will no longer be focused on material gain and profit, hence we are now seeing the collapse of the financial and economic structures and it is expected that governmental collapse will follow. It is thought that we will live more simply, that in fact we will go back to living more shamanically, which involves living with respect for other people, animals, nature and the Earth. We will be living more simply, harmlessly and we will live as we were always intended to live, in communities, in closer relationship and kinship with others, and in closer relationship with nature. (I believe one of the reasons people suffer with so much depression is because of the innate loneliness and separation many people feel. We were never meant to live the way we do now, it is unnatural. People need to have close and harmonious relationships with other people). We will be focused on the good of our community, focused on the “collective” rather than the advancement of our own selves.
Not so long ago I attended a talk on 2012, where the speaker told a stunned audience to sell up immediately and go and live in Paraguay, because that was going to be the safest place on the planet! I think Greenland was mentioned too as an option for when Paraguay was full! The whole audience went into panic!
If you are reading about this subject for the first time, you are going to be wide-eyed I am sure. I first heard about this however about twelve years ago. At that time, my reaction was typically fear-based (and fear is related to the ego-self, the mind, and not the Higher Self, which is centred in the heart). “Where do I go?” I asked. I demanded to know which countries were “safe.” I worried about my family. Would they be willing to move? One of my friends who learnt about this the same time as me, immediately left his wife, sold his house and emigrated to New Zealand!
But that was twelve years ago and I am a different person now. Do I think that we are going to be faced with a disaster scenario in 2012? No, I do not. Because its happening now, we are in the midst of it right now, aren’t we? I don’t think the world will end on 21st December 2012, instead I think that date will mark the end of the world as we know it.
The Inca prophecies state that 21.12.2012 is the start of the Golden Age of Peace, the start of Heaven on Earth, which is set to last for 1,000 years.
Are things going to get worse before they get better? I would guess so. Because to me, what 2012 will change most significantly is a change in our way of being - a raising of our consciousness and therefore our vibrational frequency.
It does not take a genius to figure out that we cannot carry on the way that we have been doing, acting selfishly and believing we can live the way we do without consequence. We cannot go on treating the Earth - this beautiful planet that gives us all we need, with so much disrespect. And we cannot go on treating each other with disrespect either. My understanding is that these disasters, if indeed they do occur, have one purpose and one purpose only – to bring us all together as a community, to break down the barriers that keep us locked up in our own little worlds. And yes, I am of course talking about respecting those of other races, colours, religions. What does it matter that you believe in one God and I in another aspect of the Divine? It is all the same thing, it is all Source energy. The Divine is the Divine and there are many paths to Him, not just one. The Shamanic viewpoint is that the Divine is, literally, everywhere - in each blossom, each stream, each tree and rock, each grain of sand, each creature of the Earth and of course, everyone. We are ALL an aspect of the Divine; we ALL contain deep within us a Divine spark. This is why the Shamanic way is to treat EVERYTHING and EVERYONE with respect, because everything is an aspect of the Creator, everything is Holy..
Regardless of our race or religion, what is it that we all want anyway? We all want to be happy, we want to love and be loved, we want to live in peace and harmony and be happy and lead fulfilled lives. We all have ordinary human needs.
There are barriers all around us all, regardless of race and religion. I have lived in my house for 18 years and I have NEVER met the people that live across the road! (Actually I did recently meet one of them but only because they bumped my car while parking!) All we have to do is watch commuters on the morning train, Ipods plugged in, laptop out (if you are lucky enough to get a seat) book or newspaper out, and we are closed in to ourselves. We are virtually sitting on someone else’s lap and yet we don’t even acknowledge them! And God forbid you if you smile or say hello to someone! Well, HELLO people out there, if you haven’t already figured this out, we are not supposed to be living like this! Have you ever seen an animal go to up to a pack of its fellow animals and completely ignore them? Of course not! And we think we are the intelligent ones. And it is no wonder we are all so depressed and miserable, living in our own little bubbles. We were cave dwellers once, we lived in community with others, our hearts need those connections still, and we need love and the support of our community behind us. So many of us are lonely and isolated. And I am not talking about the elderly or the infirm; I am also talking about the majority of us.
So when my clients ask, “What is going to happen to us?” my answer is “I honestly don’t know” and I also tell people that I feel it is impossible for anyone to know for sure because I believe that our destiny shifts every day with each decision we make. My wish is that we all wake up quickly so that nothing catastrophic happens. What I firmly believe is that the more we wake up to where we are going wrong and put things right quickly, without the Earth or an asteroid or a tidal wave having to do that for us, the easier I think we will all get through this. Do we really need to wait for a great big slap around the face? Or can we change now? This will mean considerable changes in the way we live our lives and a rethink about what is, truly, important. How many rich and really, really happy people do you know? I have to tell you, I see some very wealthy clients and they are not happy at all! My hope is that we all wake up, we stop looking for a quick profit at the expense of a fellow human, stop thinking about me, me, me, start treating the Earth and each other with respect and start, at last to use our common sense! We could, all, start living in that Golden Age of Peace NOW, if we act quickly. Do you know that the Q’ero, (see my website for more info) do not even have a word in their vocabulary for “I,”- they only see themselves as a member of their community!
What are we waiting for? We don’t have to wait until we no longer have a choice, because one thing is for sure, if we don’t change under our own steam, we will not be allowed to carry on like this for much longer. So my advice to you is this. You are likely to hear much more about 2012 as time goes on. PLEASE do NOT go into fear, because this is futile and a complete waste of your energy. Instead, change your ways now, open your hearts now, respect ALL life, be kind to others, smile, say hello, help someone if you can, go out into your communities and meet your fellow humans, “pay it back”, pay for the person behind you in the toll booth queue. We are all the same; we all want the same things. I believe our future and the future of the planet is in our hands. We can all come together now, work together now, to create heaven on Earth without first having to go through hell to get there.
